Transaction Coordinator – Phoenix, AZ

JOB SUMMARY

  • Wentworth Property Company is seeking to hire a motivated and accomplished Transaction Coordinator in its Phoenix office. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience. Paralegal certificate is preferred. Candidates will be responsible for performing/coordinating title and survey review, document preparation and management, due diligence, real estate transaction closing process and other general administrative tasks. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide general administrative support to the acquisitions team
  • Create and maintain closing checklists and key date memos
  • Order and review ALTA surveys, Phase 1 environmental studies, zoning reports, title searches, title insurance commitments and other third-party pre-acquisition reports
  • Review and summarize title requirements and exceptions. Identify solutions for potential problems
  • Act as a liaison between the acquisition team and outside parties during acquisition/disposition
  • Perform/coordinate detailed due diligence research
  • Prepare and review closing documents including settlement statements, documents to be recorded, and title company records such as affidavits of value
  • Oversee commercial property insurance and liability insurance requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with a concentration in Business, Real Estate, Legal Studies or similar specialty
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • A minimum of two years of experience working for a commercial real estate development company, law firm and/or title company

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize assignments to meet numerous deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and with all levels of personnel
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
