Financial Analyst – Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX

Wentworth’s projects include ground-up development, build-to-suit, acquisitions and redevelopment of office, industrial, retail, storage and healthcare properties. Wentworth’s team of professionals has been involved in over eight million square feet of development and acquisition transactions.
JOB SUMMARY
- Wentworth Property Company is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst in its Phoenix or Dallas office. Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience and have strong quantitative and qualitative abilities, advanced comprehension of Argus/Excel modeling, excellent writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and time management ability. Responsibilities may include financial analysis/underwriting; preparation of research and marketing materials; due diligence collection and review; providing general analytical support to the team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide analytical and asset management support on a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate investments, including office, industrial, self-storage, multifamily and healthcare
- Prepare/review cash flow models using Excel/Argus
- Prepare acquisition/development cost budgets
- Prepare/review rent rolls, historical operating statements and other financial statements supporting cash flow models and budgets
- Abstract lease agreements and other property documents
- Assist with financial due diligence and closing process
- Perform market research
- Write, prepare, and assemble Investment Memoranda and other marketing materials
- Assist in the review and analysis of financing proposals and commitments
- Build and maintain partnership cash flow distribution (waterfall) models
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Real Estate
- A minimum of one year of related commercial real estate experience
- Complex financial modeling experience
KEY COMPETENCIES
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Argus Enterprise/Developer
- Strong understanding of financial concepts (i.e, Discounted Cash Flow, IRR, NPV, waterfalls, etc.)
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize assignments to meet numerous deadlines
- Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex financial information and transactions
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and with all levels of personnel
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude

Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience and have strong quantitative and qualitative abilities, advanced comprehension of Argus/Excel modeling, excellent writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and time management ability. Responsibilities may include financial analysis/underwriting; preparation of research and marketing materials; due diligence collection and review; supervision and training of junior analysts; providing general analytical support to the team.
